Reservations
No reservations are required for walk-ons.
If you bring your own vehicle to the island, you need to make a reservation on the ferry well in advance for both legs of the journey (to and from the island). To make a vehicle reservation, contact the Prudence Ferry at 401-253-9808. Customers with vehicle reservations must arrive at least 20 minutes before departure time or they may lose their reservation to a stand-by customer.
Vehicles are carried at the owner's risk and must be driven by a licensed driver.
Generally, the ferry office is open one hour before scheduled departures from Bristol. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ferry departs to park and buy ferry tickets. The captains keep a strict schedule!
